We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help us build and scale modern data infrastructure while also delivering insights through hands-on analytics and data storytelling. You’ll work across the full data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to analysis and visualization—helping us unlock value from data across cloud-native systems, real-time applications, and machine learning workflows.
This role blends strong engineering fundamentals with analytical intuition and is ideal for someone who wants to own data pipelines end-to-end while also delivering actionable business intelligence.

-
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across batch and real-time environments (e.g., ETL/ELT, streaming, CDC)
-
Lead the implementation of data lakehouse architectures and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)
-
Collaborate with analysts, product teams, and ML engineers to deliver clean, well-modeled datasets
-
Drive data quality, observability, and governance across all data layers
-
Create and deliver interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
-
Write performant, production-ready SQL and build data marts optimized for self-service analytics
-
Proactively identify data gaps, propose schema changes, and implement monitoring for data freshness and reliability
-
Work cross-functionally to support AI/ML model development with clean, annotated, and reproducible datasets
-
Contribute to architectural decisions and advocate for best practices in data engineering and analytics
Qualifications
-
5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, ideally in fast-paced product or platform teams
-
Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling (Star/Snowflake), warehousing, and cloud-native architectures
-
Proven experience with tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark, or Flink
-
Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Scala for data transformation and scripting
-
Experience with data visualization and building self-service reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
-
Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps practices including CI/CD for data pipelines, version control, and IaC
-
Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, PII handling)
-
Comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders to translate needs into robust data solutions
-
Excellent communication skills in both English and German
Our Offer
